Mitch | Modern Wall-Mounted Aluminum Mailbox
Mitch | Modern Wall-Mounted Aluminum Mailbox
Mitch Modern Wall-Mounted Mailbox
Large capacity. Rust-proof aluminum. The everyday workhorse.
The Mitch is the largest wall-mounted mailbox in the Vsons lineup — built to hold several days of mail, magazines, catalogs, and small packages without overcrowding. Crafted from premium 14-gauge American aluminum 5052-H32 with an industrial powder-coated finish, it's completely rust-proof in every climate including coastal and high-humidity environments.
At 14.625" × 11" × 4.5", the Mitch solves the most common mailbox complaint: not enough room. If you come home to an overflowing mailbox, if your carrier leaves packages exposed because they won't fit, or if you travel and need a box that holds multiple days of delivery — the Mitch handles it. It's the model we recommend for families, online shoppers, and anyone whose mail volume has outgrown a compact mailbox.
Available in three powder-coated finishes — matte black, white, and dark bronze — with optional keyed locking and custom vinyl house numbers in multiple colors. The powder coat is applied electrostatically and cured at high temperature, creating a thick, UV-resistant barrier that won't chip, peel, or fade.
Compatible with our stainless steel fence bracket for weatherproof fence mounting — a popular option for homes where wall space beside the door is limited or where a fence-mounted mailbox creates a cleaner streetside look.
Also available in: Brushed stainless steel 304 · Marine-grade 316L · Black engravable (BE)
Need a more compact wall-mounted mailbox? The Louis (14.625" × 7") has the same width in a shorter, lighter format — ideal when you primarily receive standard letters.
Need a square profile? The Martin (12" × 12") offers a geometric alternative for mid-century and contemporary homes.
Need post-mounted? See the Anthony or Jeremy for USPS-approved curbside models. Not sure which type you need? See wall-mounted vs post-mounted mailboxes.

What's the difference between the Mitch aluminum and the Mitch stainless steel?
Same dimensions, same capacity, different material and finish. The Mitch aluminum has a matte powder-coated finish (black, white, or dark bronze) and cannot rust under any conditions — it's the zero-maintenance option. The Mitch S (stainless) has a brushed metal finish with visible grain and a heavier feel. Choose aluminum for durability and low maintenance; choose stainless for the brushed metal aesthetic.
Is the Mitch the largest wall-mounted mailbox Vsons makes?
Yes. At 14.625" × 11" × 4.5", the Mitch has the largest capacity of any wall-mounted model in the lineup. For comparison, the Louis is 14.625" × 7" × 3.5" — same width, but shorter and shallower. If your mail volume exceeds what the Louis can handle, the Mitch is the step up.
Will the Mitch mailbox rust?
No. The Mitch is made from 14-gauge aluminum 5052-H32 — a material that cannot rust under any conditions. The industrial powder coat adds UV resistance and scratch protection. This is the best material choice for coastal, humid, cold, or any other climate.
Does the Mitch come with a lock?
Yes — select the locking option at checkout. The locking version includes an integrated 12" × ¾" mail slot. Your carrier delivers through the slot as normal, but the mailbox can only be opened with your key. Two keys included. Locks are keyed differently for each unit.
Can I mount the Mitch on a fence?
Yes. The Mitch is compatible with our stainless steel Fence Bracket, which provides weatherproof fence mounting. The bracket covers the rear mounting holes and allows the mailbox to be fully sealed against the elements.
What fits inside the Mitch mailbox?
Standard letters, legal envelopes, magazines, catalogs, padded mailers, and small packages. The Mitch holds several days of accumulated mail comfortably — making it a strong choice for travelers or households that don't check mail daily. It will not hold large boxes or thick parcels.
