Martin Square Modern Wall-Mounted Mailbox

Square proportions. Geometric character. A bold, modern statement for contemporary facades.

The Martin is a square wall-mounted mailbox designed for homes where geometry is the design language. At 12" × 12", its equal proportions create a visual anchor beside your front door — confident, balanced, and unmistakably intentional. Crafted from premium powder-coated aluminum, the Martin is completely rust-proof in all climates including coastal and high-humidity environments.

The Martin's square format sets it apart from every other mailbox in the Vsons lineup — and from most mailboxes on the market. Where the Louis and Mitch use a horizontal rectangular profile, the Martin uses a 1:1 ratio that creates a different architectural effect. It reads more like a design object and less like a utility fixture. That's why it's become a favorite for mid-century modern renovations, Eichler-style homes, and contemporary new builds where every exterior detail is considered.

At 4.5" deep with a top-opening lid, the Martin holds standard letters, envelopes, magazines, and thin catalogs. It's best suited for wall-mounted installations under a porch roof or entryway overhang — the mounting hole design means direct exposure to heavy rain is not recommended without protection.

Available in black powder coat with optional vinyl house numbers and custom text in multiple colors. Every unit is manufactured in North America from 14-gauge American aluminum 5052-H32.

Need a rectangular profile instead? The Louis (14.625" × 7") is our best-selling compact wall-mounted model. The Mitch (14.625" × 11") offers larger capacity for heavier mail volume.

Need a slim vertical option? The City B (7.125" × 14") fits narrow entryways and pillars.

Need post-mounted? See the Anthony or Jeremy for USPS-approved curbside models. Not sure which type you need? See wall-mounted vs post-mounted mailboxes.

Frequently Asked Questions
+

What makes the Martin different from the Louis?
Shape. The Martin is square (12" × 12"), the Louis is rectangular (14.625" × 7"). Both are wall-mounted aluminum mailboxes with the same material quality. The Martin creates a bolder geometric statement; the Louis offers a more traditional horizontal profile. Choose based on which proportion fits your entryway better.

Will the Martin mailbox rust?
No. The Martin is made from 14-gauge aluminum 5052-H32 — a material that cannot rust under any conditions. The industrial powder coat adds UV and scratch resistance. This mailbox will not corrode in coastal, humid, cold, or any other climate.

Can I mount the Martin on a fence or post?
We don't recommend it. The Martin's top-opening lid and rear mounting design are optimized for wall-mount installation with overhead protection. Fence or post mounting exposes the mailbox to direct rain through the mounting holes and lid seam. For fence mounting, the Louis or Mitch with a fence bracket is the better option.

Does the Martin come with a locking option?
No. The Martin does not have a locking variant. If mail security is a priority, the Louis and Mitch both offer optional keyed locking with an integrated mail slot.

Is the Martin available in stainless steel?
No. The Martin is currently available in black powder-coated aluminum only. For a wall-mounted mailbox in brushed stainless steel, see the Louis S or Mitch S.

What size mail fits in the Martin?
The Martin holds standard letter mail, legal envelopes, magazines, and thin catalogs. At 4.5" deep, it won't hold thick packages — for higher volume, the Mitch at 14.625" × 11" × 4.5" offers significantly more capacity.
