The Mitch S wall-mounted mailbox features a sleek stainless steel construction that complements modern architecture. The Mitch S is the largest wall-mounted mailbox in the Vsons lineup. At 14.625" × 11" × 4.5", it holds several days of mail including magazines, catalogs, and small packages — solving the problem of coming home to an overflowing mailbox or finding deliveries left exposed on the porch. If you receive more than letters, this is the model that fits your life.
The brushed stainless steel finish has a warmth and reflective depth that powder-coated aluminum can't replicate. You see directional grain, you feel the weight when you open the door, and the laser-engraved house numbers cut through to reveal the brushed steel underneath — a personalization method exclusive to stainless models.
Choose 304 stainless for moderate climates where salt exposure isn't a concern. Choose 316L marine-grade if you're within 1–3 miles of the ocean or on a heavily salted road. Choose white powder-coated stainless if you want the structural weight of steel with a clean white exterior finish. All three options include keyed locking and fence bracket compatibility.

What's the difference between the Mitch S and the Mitch aluminum?
Same dimensions, same capacity, different material and finish. The Mitch aluminum has a matte powder-coated finish (black, white, or dark bronze) and cannot rust under any conditions. The Mitch S has a brushed stainless steel finish with visible grain and a heavier, more substantial feel. Choose aluminum for maintenance-free performance; choose stainless for the brushed metal aesthetic.
Will the Mitch S rust near the ocean?
304 stainless can develop surface spots from salt air within 1–3 miles of the coast. For oceanfront or high-salt locations, choose the 316L marine-grade option — it's engineered for salt resistance. Does the Mitch S come with a lock?
Yes — select the locking option at checkout. The locking version includes an integrated 12" × ¾" mail slot. Your carrier delivers through the slot as normal, but the mailbox can only be opened with your key. Two keys included.
Can I mount the Mitch S on a fence?
Yes. The Mitch S is compatible with our stainless steel Fence Bracket, which provides weatherproof fence mounting. The bracket covers the mounting holes for a clean, sealed installation.
How does laser engraving work on stainless steel?
The laser removes the surface layer to reveal the brushed stainless underneath. The result is recessed lettering that's permanent, weather-proof, and exclusive to stainless models — no vinyl, no adhesive, no fading. You can engrave house numbers, text, or custom lettering. What's the difference between the Mitch S and the Louis S?
