This is a really nice mailbox but don’t think you can use your own post. The mailbox is made so that it is non standard and you essentially are forced to buy the post that they sell. Really annoying and wish I knew that before buying.

Beautiful mailbox! It was a little tricky to install on our existing pole, but it looks great and we're getting lots of compliments. Also, I recommend wiping water spots with a cloth with a little olive oil.

As advertised. One of the few modern options out there and better priced than the others. Constructed well. I would have preferred welding vice rivets but at this price point I'm happy with it and welding would have discolored the stainless. Only complaint is there is nothing in the bottom but the bare metal and the mounting holes. Water gets in from our sprinkler system so I had a friend make up a small plate that goes in and sits just off the bottom. I do wish we had requested numbers on both sides. The associated post was well constructed too and had very nice welds.
