The Sophia brings a faceted, architectural profile to the entryway, with the capacity a busy household needs. It's built from powder-coated American aluminum, so it can't rust in any climate, coastal and high-humidity included. Raise the flag when you have outgoing mail. Lower it when it's gone.
At 14.625" wide and 11" tall, the Sophia is our tall-format wall-mounted mailbox. It holds standard mail, magazines, small bundles and small packages, so deliveries stay inside and dry instead of being folded or left on the step.
Offered in matte black, with optional keyed locking and custom vinyl house numbers or text in a range of colours. Every unit is designed by Vsons and made in North America from 16-gauge American aluminum 5052-H32, with an outdoor electrostatic powder coat that resists scratches and fading.

Wall-Mounted Installation:
- Mark the mounting hole locations on the wall (screws are spaced 10.5" apart)
- Drill pilot holes and install anchors suited to your wall
- Secure the mailbox with #8–#10 stainless steel screws
Hardware: Not included. Walls and sidings vary too much for one universal kit, so use hardware made for your surface.
Sealing Kit Recommended: If the mailbox is exposed to the elements, add the sealing kit at checkout. It covers the mounting holes with rubber washers (3) and adds a gasket at the back to seal against the lid.
Mounting on a Fence? Our fence bracket keeps the mailbox weatherproof without drilling through the back.

How does the outgoing mail flag work?
Raise the flag when there's mail inside for your carrier to collect. Lower it once it's picked up.
Can the Sophia hold packages?
Yes, small ones. The 11" tall body fits magazines, small bundles and small packages, so they don't end up rolled, folded or left outside.
Is the Sophia rust-proof?
Yes. It's made from aluminum 5052-H32, which cannot rust, with an outdoor powder coat that resists scratches and fading.
Does it come with a lock?
Locking is an option at checkout. Every lock is keyed differently. If the keys are lost, the lock has to be replaced, so we sell blank keys for making copies.
Is the Sophia USPS approved?
The Sophia is designed for wall-mounted door delivery, which does not require USPS PMG approval. For curbside delivery, see our post-mounted models.
Is it waterproof?
The mounting holes are its only weak point. If it's exposed to rain or snow, add the sealing kit. On a fence, use our fence bracket.
Is mounting hardware included?
No. Use #8–#10 stainless steel screws suited to your wall type.
